Dr. Apovian is the Director of the Nutrition and Weight Management Center, Co-director of the Nutrition Support Service, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. She has spoken nationally on weight control, eating disorders, and nutrition support, and teaches courses on general nutrition, nutrition for the critically ill, and eating disorders at Boston University and Harvard Medical School. She received her medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

iEmily is a private company created by Rina Spence, CEO, in 2000. Ms. Spence is a former junior high school teacher who went on to become a nationally recognized leader in health care administration. She has served as president and CEO of Emerson Hospital in Massachusetts. In 1994, she founded the widely acclaimed Spence Centers for Women's Health, a multi-site network of medical centers for women. She is a graduate of Boston University, where she received her BA and MEd degrees. She also holds an MPA from Harvard University.
The site currently has no external funding, but is in the process of researching responsible advertising and sponsorship options. We do not accept link or banner exchanges.
