How to Look for Health Information Online
When you are looking for health information
online, the HONcode helps you identify websites that present information in a trustworthy and transparent way. These websites are committed to the HON Code of Conduct and comply with the eight ethical HONcode Principles covering different aspects, such as respecting the site visitors' privacy and making a clear distinction between advertisement and editorial content.
The people looking for health information on the Internet play an important role in improving the transparency and trustworthiness of health-related websites. HON calls all users - whether they are patients, health professionals, or just interested in health topics in general - to stay alert while surfing the Web.
In case you wish to give feedback, good or bad, on HONcode Certified websites, please fill out this online form. We need your help and value your input!
