HON Studies and Surveys
Notification of a Comparative Study
Important:
Notification of a comparative study regarding the increased involvement of the general public in trustworthy online medical and health information
Currently, the HONcode certified websites are audited manually once every year by the HONcode Team. We have observed that many websites are consistently, year after year, in compliance with the HONcode principles; in this context, we would like to use the opportunity to conduct a comparative study and proceed to a testing phase. This testing phase will aim to evaluate the capacity of a biennial revision. The revision will take place once every two years, with a more active involvement of the general public and more frequent random reviews (automatic and manual checks).
From the 20th of November 2011 onwards the validity of your HONcode Certificate has changed or is about to change from one into two years. And don’t be surprised to hear from us more often.
Important:
Future Survey Conducted by HON
Before the end of the year, HON will be conducting a survey to get feedback on its activities. We would like to ask webmasters of HONcode certified websites and websites in the certification process to sign up in order to participate in this survey, your opinions will be greatly appreciated.
Please let us know whether you are interested in participating by replying to this newsletter (HONinfo@healthonnet.org) and entering "Feedback" to the subject field. Please be sure to do this before Sunday, the 11th of December, 2011.
