New ENABLED Survey on Accessibility
The ENABLED project *, in partnership with the Health On the Net Foundation, is launching a new survey to refine the information gathered during the previous one and to make a quick assessment of accessibility and usability awareness and interest in the developments of the project from a Web developer or content provider point of view.
As a HONcode-accredited website, your role is not limited to providing high quality online health and medical information; your participation also contributes to the development of future services which are often built on the results of surveys.
Please visit the ENABLED survey at: http://www.netunion.com/enabled/survey.jsp
Your input will take just a few minutes and demonstrates your commitment to improving online information standards.
* ENABLED is a european research project and stands for Enhanced Network Accessibility for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Results of the first survey are still available on the project Website at: http://www.enabledweb.org/public_results/survey_results/analysis.html#analysis.
Free Courses on Accessibility
The ENABLED project has now moved on and is about to launch some training activities and evaluations of a first set of prototypes. A few courses on accessibility and usability are already available on the ENABLED Training Platform (http://training.netunion.com) and more courses on Accessibility are being prepared. Special online training workshops will be organised in October 2006, April and September 2007, allowing you to ask questions and refine your knowledge. You can already register an account on the ENABLED Training Platform and enrol in some courses (free of charge).
