creativity on the Information Society. This award was attributed the 10the
december during the WSIS (9-13 December 2003). We would like to share it

Health Information you can trust: HONcode Toolbar
HON developed, jointly with NetUnion of Lausanne, a new tool for Trustworthy
Health Information. This new HONcode Toolbar is the first of its kind, and
allows web surfers to highlight and select text from a web page and search for
HON-certified sites (nearly 4000) about more than 33'000 medical and health
topics. This "HONcode status" feature lets the user check automatically whether
a site bearing the HONcode seal is really in compliance with the Code.

MedNet 2003 - Internet & Health for All
HON organised MedNet 2003 from 4 to 7 December 2003.This Conference
brought together 180 participants, like researchers, developers and users of
applications of the Internet in Medicine, from 29 countries as far as Kuwait,
South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, New
Zealand, North America.
The abstracts and presentations (PPT) are available online.
The increasing success of this event is all due to the contributor's high scientific
level and to the quality of the keynote's interventions who agreed to share their
large visions and expertises with us. But without the cheerful participation of the
assistance, this conference wouldn't have been such a great success.
And, last but not least, we would like also to express our very special thanks to
the scientific reviewers & the scientific committee for their willingness and timely
review of nearly 150 contributions.
