This audio conference, presented by two members of the  American College of Surgeons&#x27; Committee on Surgical  Palliative Care, will describe the common ground of  surgical practice and palliative care. Palliative care&#x27;s  historical role in surgery, its current status in surgery  and potential applications of current palliative care in  surgical practice, will be discussed.</description>
