By Diana Kohnle

(HealthDay News) -- Chronic kidney disease may not have obvious symptoms, so it's important to know if you're at risk.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says risk factors include:

  • Having diabetes.
  • Having high blood pressure.
  • Having heart disease.
  • Having someone in your family with chronic kidney disease.
  • Being black, Hispanic/Latino or American Indian.
