Health Tip: Pay Attention Behind the Wheel
Don't text and drive
By Diana Kohnle
(HealthDay News) -- Talking on the phone, texting or focusing on a GPS device while driving is dangerous for you and any of your passengers.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers this advice:
- Never text and drive.
- Remain alert when driving. If you become sleepy or distracted, pull over.
- If the driver in a car you are riding in is distracted, speak up.
- Volunteer to promote safe driving in your community.
