Welcome letter
Dear Colleagues,
The board of HON takes great pleasure in inviting you to MedNet 2003 , to take place in Geneva, Switzerland from 4-7 December 2003.
Within a few years, this annual meeting has become the focal point for developers and users of the medical internet, and this year's edition promises to be truly unique, taking place alongside the World Summit on the Information Society ( ), during which leaders from Government, Industry and Civil Society will gather to set the agenda for tomorrow's information society.
MedNet is your opportunity to participate in this prestigious event and we hope you will join us.
The MedNet2003 web site provides instructions for academic contributors. The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to 15 September 2003, which we hope will allow you to put the finishing touches on your proposal, refreshed and inspired from your summer holidays.
Due to the great number of delegates expected to attend the WSIS, accommodation in Geneva will be limited. We therefore urge you to plan now to attend MEDNET2003. The HON secretariat will be happy to assist you with any administrative or travel related questions, and the MEDNET2003 web site contains the complete program, information and links to help you get the most out of this unique event.
Yours sincerely,
| Prof. Antoine Geissbühler |
