Type III Hypersensitivity
Immune Complex Initiated Hypersensitivity, Immune Complex Hypersensitivity, Immune Complex Reaction Type III according to the Gell And Coombs Classification . This type of reaction occurs when large numbers of anibody-antigen complexes accumulate. This may cause widespread inflammation that damages tissue. Systemic lupus erythematosus is an example of a Type III reaction. | |||||
