Larynx
Structure of muscle and cartilage in the upper neck. It contains the vocal cords. Air passes through the larynx into the windpipe and then into the lungs. The "Adam's apple" is part of the larynx.
Laryngoedema

Laryngospasm
Laryngeal spasm
Spasm of the larynx. Spasmotic closure of the larynx or voice box.
When spasms occur, air cannot pass through the larynx properly. May occur with infants, in tetany
or in tetanus (lockjaw). Caused by abnormally low calcium levels in the blood and can be life-threatening if
severe.
