For the collaborative platform:
We are an open list where folks can ask and respond to situations to learn more. (...) Usually good judgment of the individual controls this, sometimes that individual might lose that good judgment temporarily and post carelessly to the list. At that time, management will exercise whatever measure necessary to regain control and to maintain the dignity of the list. http://www.emphysema.net/ours.html

a. Extend politeness to other members and to any contacts.
b. Exhibit tolerance for opinions and feelings different from yours. If offended by innocent remarks, please direct it to the individual, not to the list.
c. Refuse to get into aggressive arguments or verbal conflicts with other members or contacts.
d. Language which is foul or obscene, abusive, or otherwise offensive to the group, will not be tolerated.

Be an activist in managing your own disease and join our EFFORTS to help promote vital medical research and education. If we don't do this, who will?
