SENACA (SENIOR HEALTH ACADEMY) is a CTI project. It aims to realized a platform of active health prevention for seniors living in Switzerland. Among others partners, HON's mission is to adapt and improve a simple tool for calculating risk that was originally developed by the Department of Public Health of Connecticut in the USA. Thus this system of prevention, called SENAcheck, is based on a series of QCMs and has been translated into the three Swiss national languages: German, French and Italian. Furthermore, with the help of health professionals, various calculators and risk measures have been adapted to the standards of Swiss and European populations. Other risk factors, computers have also been added to help prevent typical diseases of seniors such as osteoporosis, diabetes, etc. ... Finally, a simple test can also assess the understanding of the user to better guide him/her by appropriate advices.
