Health On the Net Foundation Geneva, mainly active in the field of online medical and health information, is looking for an:

Opening for: Informatician, Applied Computing Research

Applied research in the field of health on the Internet.

The development of the Internet forces us to face new challenges in the representation of knowledge in areas where understanding and quality are essential.

With the advancement of technology, it is possible to facilitate information retrieval through data structuring. HON is working on this very important subject.

Desired profile:

You have a knowledge of the following:

Techniques of information retrieval and classification
Programming languages: PERL and Java Object
Text mining algorithms
Statistics

You hold a degree in one of the following fields: engineering/HES (University of applied Sciences of Switzerland) /EPFL (Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne ) /EPF (Generalist Engineering School) in Informatics.

You have an experience and expertise in techniques in informatics and in NLP (TAL), experience in the development of search engine crawler and Web developments.

You are responsible and organized; creative and proactive.

You are fluent in French with a very good knowledge of written and spoken English and German.

You have the ability to write scientific articles.
