HON Spain
Since 2006, the Spanish collaborators of the Health On the Net Foundation are based in Valencia.
The contact with this country and its actual collaboration started in 2000, being the main objective to evaluate and improve the quality of the Spanish-speaking health related websites and to guide internet users in there search of health information. The HON Spanish Team is composed of:
Erik Montesinos, MD, HON Spanish representative
Elena Reale, HON Quality Assurance
Erik obtained his degree in Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Valencia, he completed a five year specialty program in Orthopedic Surgery in La Fe Teaching Hospital and is currently working at the Hospital Arnau de Vilanova in Valencia, Spain. Erik also completed a Medical Management Executive MBA in the National School of Health, and works on the certification process of medical websites and in the promotion of HON in Spain.
Elena is currently in charge of quality control and internal auditing of the HON team. Her expertise in the quality area is a great asset to HON. Elena has a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Florence.
