|
Cyril was the content
manager for the website of the Swiss Centre for Applied Human
Toxicology
(SCAHT) developed by HON in collaboration with SCAHT. Previously, he
worked as a project coordinator for the Swiss Campaign to Ban
Landmines, a communications assistant at the Swiss Peace Research
Foundation (Swisspeace), a research assistant at Geneva Call and a
translator (German-French-English) for different companies, NGOs and
federations, working in the fields of public health, political
advocacy, development cooperation, and sports. He holds a License in
International Relations and a Diplôme d'études
approfondies in International Law from the Graduate Institute of
International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Herizo Andriambololoniaina
MD
Research Assistant of Online Health Information
|
Herizo obtained his
degree in Medicine at the Medical School of the University of
Antananarivo, Madagascar. In 2007, he obtained a degree in Medical
Informatics at the University of Geneva. Now he is preparing a Bachelor
in Informatics Sciences at the University of Geneva and a Master's in
Assessment and Health Systems Engineering at the University of
Marseille.

Theodor Andersson

Theodor is a former
medical student at Geneva’s medical school. At HON, he worked
on the certification process of medical sites.

Seyena Ahonyo

Seyena is worked on
developing a
typology of the publishers of HON-certified French-language websites.
She is completing a Master's degree in Information Sciences at the
Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG) as part of a joint
program with the School of Library and Information Sciences (EBSI) in
Montreal.

While working at HON,
Jérémy was a third-year student in of Informatics
at the "Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale" of
Lausanne.

Francisco Borja Consigliere,
MD
Research Assistant of

Francisco received his
degree from the Faculty of Medicine of University of the Andes in
Santiago, Chile, in December 2007. He worked as a Medical Adviser for
HON from November 2008 to July 2009, and again from June
2010. He is currently completing a Master's degree in Proteomics and
Bioinformatics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva.

Antoine Borst

As he was in charge of
the
development of various tools for HON, Antoine also studied data
processing, computer linguistics and philosophy at the University
of Geneva.

Mohammed
Bourahla, MD

Mohammed studied
General Medicine at the Medical faculty of Algiers, following which he
worked in the field of research for a few years at the Pierre and Marie
Curie Institute of the Mustapha Hospital, Algiers. He then went on to
working in a private practice, after which he joined HON.

Mafalda Burri

Mafalda Burri has a
degree of Community Health from the University of Geneva and a
Master’s degree in Parasitic Biology from the University of
Neuchâtel. In addition to working at HON, she also works as a
researcher for the Geneva Registry of Tumours of the Faculty of
Medicine of Geneva.

Sarah Cruchet

Sarah first came to
HON as an intern where she was involved in the development of a
multilingual Questions-Response system in the medical domain.
She has now finished her internship and has joined the HON team, where
as the junior developer engineering, she continues work on the same
multilingual system.
Sarah has a degree in Medical Informatics and Information Technology
from the Engineering School of Grenoble.

Adrien Depeursinge
PhD, iPhone
Application Developer
 |
Adrien was developing
an iPhone application called "HONPedia," integrating vocalization
features and multimedia content. Adrien is doing his doctoral studies
in medical image processing with the MedGIFT group at the Service of
Medical Informatics at the Geneva University Hospitals, led by Prof.
Henning Müller. His thesis was on "Affine-invariant texture
analysis andr retrieval of 3D medical images with clinical
integration." He also has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL).

Fernando

Marian is currently
pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration at the Business
&
Management University in Geneva.

François Ferrez
Research Assistant of

|
François
has a degree in Neurophysiology, Faculty of Sciences in Paris, followed
by one year of research at the CNRS at the Lariboisière
Hospital, Paris. He completed his education with a degree in marketing
in Lausanne. For the benefit of 17 years of experience in the
pharmaceutical industry, he specialized in particular in information
and medical marketing.

Sergio Garcia Vicente, MD
Research Assistant of

|
Sergio obtained his
degree in Medicine at the Medical School of the University of Valencia,
Spain. He completed his residency program at the Hospital General of
Valencia and is currently working at the Valencia al Mar Hospital in
Valencia.
He also has a Master’s degree in Medical Management from the
School of Economics of the University of Valencia and a MBA from the
School of Economics of the Open University, Spain. He completed a
training period in the Department of Family Medicine, Baylor College of
Medicine, Houston. He also recently completed a Master´s
Program in Medical
Informatics and Telemedicine in Madrid.
At HON, he was mainly involved in the certification process of medical
sites and the promotion of the Foundation in Spain.

Arnaud Gaudinat
Software Engineer in
Data Processing, Specialized in NLP
Arnaud has extensive
experience in the programming object, linguistics and computer
phonetics, having previously worked at DIGITAL-Equipment, France.
He was involved in several projects at HON, including the project WRAPIN
(Worldwide online Reliable Advice for Patients and Individuals), (Personalised Information
Platform for life and health Services) and other projects of the
European Union. He also has several publications to his credit.
Arnaud has a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Informatics
from a joint collaboration between the University of Geneva and
University Marne la Vallié, France and a Master’s
degree in Informatics.

Zuzanna
Muskat-Górska
Research Assistant of
Online Health Information
|
Zuzanna was in charge
of the
process of certification and revision with the contribution of an
expertise in law after having received her law degree at the Institute
of Sociology and Rights in Spain and a Master’s degree from
the University of Witwaterstrand in South Africa. She also worked on a
project “eAware” of the European
Union. In addition, she collaborates on a research project on the
confidentiality of information of HIV and AIDS in Poland.

Natalia Grabar
Computer Scientist, Specialized in NLP

With a degree from the
University of Paris 6 in Medical Informatics, Natalia worked on the
automatization of the certification process at HON. She has
since left the organization and is currently a member of the Inserm
U872 team and is involved in bioinformatics and the knowledge
extraction of text.

Paloma holds a
Bachelor's degree in law from the University of Geneva in 2010. She has
since resumed her studies.

Marie Humbert-Droz

Marie was involved in
HON's SCAHT projects. She is completing a Bachelor's degree in
Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Geneva and
is starting a Master's degree in the same subject in September.

Hamidul Huq
|
Having a degree from
the School of Engineering of Geneva, Hamidul worked with the Web
Development Team of the Foundation and contributed to the reinforcement
of the Team.

Jimison
Iavindrasana
 |
Jimison was involved
in
the EU-funded project KHRESMOI. From 2006 to May 2010, he was a
research assistant in another EU-funded project, @neurIST, at the
Geneva University and Hospital. He had also worked as a research
engineer for the INSERM U872 and an IT engineer for an IT consulting
company in Madagascar.

Corinne Junod

Corinne is involved in
the translation of materials (English-German, French-German), as well
as in the certification of German-language websites. She has previously
worked as a German language instructor. She has a Bachelor's degree in
Comparative Literature and German, and a Master's degree in German from
the University of Geneva.

Lacroix

Alphée is
the holder of a law degree, which she completed at the University of
Cape Town, South Africa, in December 2010. She will start a masters
degree in public international law at the Graduate Institute, Geneva,
this autumn.

Hind
Laghzali
|
Currently a student in
Information Technology for Health in the School of Engineering Polytech
Grenoble, Hind joined HON to make complete an internship required for
her graduation. She worked on the automatic detection of the quality of
health pages on the Web.

Xiaoyun
Lee
Assistant in
Communications
|
Xiaoyun was a
volunteer
for HON who contributed to the HON Facebook page. She graduated
with a degree in Microbiology from Imperial College London, UK, and is
currently a PhD candidate for Biological Sciences at the University of
Lausanne. Xiaoyun has participated in charity programmes in Singapore,
including providing children and adults with disabilities the
opportunity to ride. She has also researched on the possibilities for
improvement of a women’s professional network. Elsewhere,
Xiaoyun has been involved in the founding and running of the Imperial
College Model United Nations student society for which she was awarded
a Full Colours Award.

Anca studied law at
a University in Romania and recently received a Master’s
degree in Rights of the European People from the University of Geneva.
She is involved in the certification process of medical websites.

Leila Motteli, MD
Research Assistant of

|
Leila was involved in
the
certification of sites in addition to being responsible for the
Complaints Division at HON. She studied Medicine at the Faculty of
Medicine, Algiers for six years and then received a diploma in data
processing from the University of Geneva. She then obtained a medical
degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva and after
receiving her license to practice medicine, she now does locums for the
University Hospitals of Geneva.

Frances
Raquel Narvaez

Frances Raquel Narvaez
was involved in the communications and new media activities of HON. She
is interested in using technology to improve the lives of
underprivileged sectors, and in new media to communicate messages of
social justice, human rights, and basic health care. She has been
involved in the creation of a digital psychosocial library, in
fundraising for UNICEF UK, and in publicity for Oxford University's
Young Carers South Africa Project and Health Talk Online Project. She
has also conducted research on media literacy and children, on HIV/AIDS
and refugees, and digital ethnography. She helped start up a maternal
healthcare project in Burma, and has recently gone to South India to
help develop and document the Smokeless Stove Project, aimed at
reducing indoor air pollution levels and increasing biomass efficiency.
She has a degree in Psychology and Media Communications (summa cum
laude), and has studied in Webster University and Oxford University.

With his degree from
the University
of Mali, Mahamoudane is currently a member of REIMICOM, a
data-processing network and medical communication in Mali. He worked on
the certification of medical websites for HON Africa.

Judith studied
Medicine
at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva. Before working at HON
she did locums at the University Hospitals of Geneva in Geriatrics and
Internal Medicine.

Sonya is a lawer. She
holds a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Law from the University of
Geneva. At present, she is pursuing a Certificate in
International Law. She joined the HON team in February 2010 and worked
as a research assistant of online health information.

Mayoni Ranasinghe, MD

Mayoni studied
Medicine at the Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Nepal. Before
coming to Geneva, she worked for over four years in Sri Lanka in
various fields, including Paediatrics, Surgery, Sexually Transmitted
Diseases and Public Health and Epidemiology.

Having a PhD in
Molecular Biology
and four years of experience in the proteomic and bioinformatic
industry, Samia Reffas collaborated in the project 'Obtaining Reliable
Medical Information Online in French-speaking Africa' in collaboration
with the WHO.

good Internet practices and website optimization, François
has been working in the fields of health, languages
and the Internet. He joined the HON team in January 2011. He is
currently finishing a Master's in applied languages and e-commerce.

Paula has a degree in
Political Sciences from the University of Geneva and a Master's degree
from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Colombia. She started
working at HON in March of 2010.

Christiane Salem

Christiane is a
registered nurse
who has gained ten years of experience in the medical field. In 2009,
Christiane obtained a degree in Medical Informatics at the University
of Geneva. At HON, she worked on the certification process of medical
sites and contributed to the development of websites maintained by the
Foundation.

Maria-Ana holds a PhD
in modeling living systems from the University of Grenoble, France. She
joined the HON team HON in January 2010 as a research assistant.

Daniela Sinjari

Daniela has been
working in the IT field as a .Net Developer. Her professional
experience
includes maintenance of financial softwares, databases, development of
new projects in the web and desktop platforms (C#, Visual Basic,
java-based).
Daniela joined the HON Team in March of 2011 as an intern. She was
involved in the development of MedAMGe, an iPhone application
for geo-localization of the physicians in Geneva. Daniela has a
university diploma in Computer Science. Currently, she's going to
finish her Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of
Geneva.

Ndaté has a
degree from the
National School of Fine Arts of Dakar, Senegal, and prior to joining
HON, he had worked for several years in advertising and communication
agencies in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. He continued to
develop his knowledge and expertise in the fields of printing and web
design while working at HON.

Nelleke Van Amstel

Nelleke holds a
Master's degree in
International and European Law from the University of Groningen, the
Netherlands, and is currently finishing her Master's in Human Rights
and Humanitarian Law at the Geneva Academy of Humanitarian Law and
Human Rights. Nelleke worked as a Research Assistant of Online Health
Information at HON since August of 2010.

Elodie holds a

field of the clinical trials and she holds a DIU FIEC (Diploma

University of Lyon (France) and a Master in Life Science Law from the
University of Geneva. She joined the HON team in October of 2009.
